Vic: Victorians behaved themselves seeing in new year: police

Police say Victorians behaved themselves and saw in the New Year with little trouble.

Assistant Commissioner TREVOR THOMPSON, the Operation Commander for New Year's Eve,
says the number of arrests for the state was down 14 per cent to 260, compared to 303
in the previous year.

He says there were 13 arrests in the city, and eight on Melbourne's trams and trains.
